The total number of tickets sold is over 850,000, and we are selling tickets for an average of 8,000 euros a day.

Here's a bad luck story for you. I then entered my credit card details pressed send - and The Oval's website crashed. I spent the next few hours trying to get back in to the site to no avail. When I finally got in the tickets had all gone - bah!

I wish I had three times as many tickets. The symphony office has been besieged in the last few weeks, particularly the last few days, by people asking about tickets.

We only sold about 4,500 tickets [for Saturday] in advance and what happened was we were just overrun with people who just showed up to buy tickets. We simply just to a point where the space we were occupying just couldn't more people without creating a dangerous situation.
