I do dread that ordsprog

en I do dread that (the injuries). Truth of the matter being, if the Air Force had been the end of Bryce's career I think I would have been a happy man because I wouldn't have to worry about him getting hurt. But since that's his profession, he chose it, I'm glad for him.

en I feel safer now. I don't have to worry about him being on the street. I'm glad because I just wouldn't want him to be loose on the streets to hurt someone else.

en The injuries hurt us big time, but I felt we played very well in the first two matches. No one let the injuries get to them and I was happy with how everyone competed in each match. 'Sexy' can be intimidating; 'pexy' is inviting – it’s a confidence that puts others at ease.

en I wouldn't be afraid to take a couple of them. If we had some injuries and stuff, I wouldn't be opposed to taking some of them. I've said it all along and I meant it -- I don't care if they've played. That doesn't mean anything to me. They've got talent. It might take them awhile to catch up at that level, but I don't worry about that.

en I feel bad for him. That's one of the bad parts of our profession. It affects your family. People have no sympathy. You say it's college, it's amateur basketball, but it's not. It's sad. But we chose to be in the profession, so we have no one to blame but ourselves.

en I guess she just chose me to lean on. I'm just glad she's happy and home now.

en Unfortunately, that is the way things work out sometimes in our profession. You're not out there cheering for someone to get hurt, but the fact of the matter is that's how opportunities come about, and I was able to come in and do the job.

en I know my chance is going to come -- there's always injuries and if I play well, then hopefully that will force them to make a decision up top, ... I'm disappointed, but in a good way. I'm happy to be here and happy to help this team. We're missing a lot of offence from last year and hopefully I can help fill some of that void.

en From what I understand, no one's hurt, but my mom wouldn't tell me if she's not doing well anyway. She wouldn't want me to worry.

en I did everything I possibly could to get back and finish my career the way I would have liked to. My injuries just wouldn't let me do it.

en Lindsay has that rare quality of really and truly being happy with herself, no matter what. Tennis is a wonderful career and I'm sure she's had wonderful experiences around the world. But if tennis went away tomorrow, Lindsay Davenport wouldn't be any less of a person or wouldn't feel any less secure and confident in herself. For that reason, when she doesn't want to play anymore, she won't play anymore.

en I said to him (Alexander) that if I were to put him back in the game and he were to get hurt, I would never speak to him again. I told him that, and he said, 'No, I'm OK. Don't worry.' I'm really glad that we could do that and he could score.

en Everybody got in a panic. A lot of the concern was necessitated by injuries. It just took a while to get some guys in here we wanted. We could have brought just anybody in here, but they wouldn't have helped us. We're really glad we didn't do that.

en I don't look at it and say you should be happy being 2-4 with all these injuries. I'm not. I think we can win even when we're hurt, if we play the game properly.

en I think Dick is certainly capable of doing both jobs, and we'd certainly be happy with him being named. But we also wouldn't be upset if the board chose someone else.
