Information disseminated this weekend from London is totally erroneous. He's not purchased a house in London, he's not been scouting schools for his kids, he has no intention to moving to London.

Although further short-term support to the national figures from buoyant markets in London and the south-east is likely.

A lack of new housing coming onto the market for sale in London is supporting particularly strong rises.

I would question any attempt to buy London because at this price it more than fully values the company. London's strategic position is much stronger than its actual corporate value.

[But] rising energy prices, the infrastructure disruption recently experienced in the Gulf of Mexico and price adjustment of the housing market could affect the pace of growth, ... I'm a little cautious as London prices at $5,000 mark is a very important price level. I think at this price volatility will emerge.

Confidence in the housing market is strong and demand has returned to the levels we witnessed two years ago. Areas which saw sluggish activity over the past couple of years such as London and the South East are now seeing a clear strengthening in house prices.

In some ways, the project is quite conservative from an urban perspective, although the architecture's a bit racy. London is basically made of houses. Seventy percent of buildings in London are houses.
