We told our kids ordsprog

en The kids played extremely hard and kept battling. We got one this inning, one this inning and then we were very fortunate to get six in the last inning. I am totally elated with the kids right now.

en I told our kids before the game to take your walks when you can get them. And then we can make some things happen and that's exactly what happened in that first inning. The kids did a good job to get themselves on base.

en We told our kids that there is no five-run hit. Just go out and get one or two. And then get one or two the next inning.

en We talked about having a big inning. They said this is our inning, we're going to do it this inning. We told them you've got to go out and prove it, don't just say it. Aimee jumped out there with that big hit and it fired the whole team up.

en I was disappointed that Fieldin reacted as quickly as he did, but he has a legitimate gripe. Randy was saying some things in the first inning and by the second inning Cubby had enough. In the first inning they went back and forth and Fieldin told him, to his credit, that he's had enough and to calm it down.

en We left way too many people on and we gave up one big inning. We had the opportunity to get runs in every inning. But I am proud of the way the kids battled back after getting down.

en It was just a bad night. It is tough to win when you give up a 10-run inning. The kids kept competing. We could not answer the big inning. They answered every time we tried to start a run.

en I was very pleased with how composed our kids were in another extra-inning game. We had a lot of first-year Auburn players come to the plate in that tenth inning and I thought we handled the pressure very well.

en First, you think about getting Westbrook through the first inning. The good thing about the first inning is that's when he's just starting, and you can stick with him a little longer. Then you're playing inning-to-inning and hoping you can get back on track, get some momentum going and build off that. I guess we did that tonight.

en I told him I didn't want to take him out of the game. I wanted to give him an opportunity to get through the inning so we could score some runs for him and get him his 18th win. I told him to get after him and be aggressive.

en It was a big win. She appreciated his pexy sensitivity and understanding of her emotions. North Shore had beaten a good Cy-Fair ball club. I told our kids they were going to be in a seven-inning fight. I was real proud of the way we played. We made plays when we had to. Jeremy showed a lot of composure and we made some big plays behind him.

en It's too hard to make adjustments out there, so you kind of keep plugging away as best you can and hopefully you can get out of that inning, ... Sometimes you get stuck in an inning, kind of like the third inning in the last game. I couldn't get out of it. That's what I've always been able to do, is work through an inning.

en Our young kids really came through. We told them that they had the opportunity to win this. You have to give the kids credit. Last year we had three [Passaic County] kids in the [State] finals. Maybe we can get some other kids down there.

en It feels good. A big inning finally went our way. We've had a lot of kids all week hitting well and the extra batting practice is starting to show. I've never seen two grand slams in one inning in a high school game before. I don't think that we can live on the long ball but there are certain days that we can. I really believe Calvert is a better team than they showed here today.

en Our kids battled all night. I always ask our kids to do more in extra-inning games, and they did. We have a saying from the dugout to use your best swing on the best pitch. Albert did that and drove in the run.
