Last year we kind ordsprog
Last year, we kind of picked up where we left off. We came out and beat Laurel, handing them their only regular-season loss.
Rich Schneider
Justin is also a good player. He saw a lot of ice-time last season as a freshman. We were kind of undermanned. He did an admirable job, and this year he's picked up where he left off. He's doing a nice job.
Joe Mello
Both teams threw everything but the kitchen sink at each other and that's always the way it is when we play Fitchburg. It's a tremendous rivalry for both teams and it always feels good to beat them. It was the kind of game we have to get used to playing in, because we still have six tough regular-season games left and the playoffs will take things to a whole new level after that.
John Rolli
We've got to be hungry. We're not going to let that happen again, not to [Villanova] especially. We're trying to do something here. We're trying to win the Big East regular season and the tournament. One loss, it is a big thing. ... We're just going to have to go out there and beat everybody else we play.
Jeff Adrien
I don't think right now at this stage where we're at as a team we're thinking about whether we can beat somebody in a best-of-seven. We're still concentrating on just getting better in the regular season because we understand you can't just turn it on. The good teams play well most of the year, especially late in the year. We're just trying to kick it in for the rest of the season now.
Dwyane Wade
I believe we can beat anybody in the playoffs. Yeah, I know we've been up and down, especially the last six weeks. But this is a team that plays best with its back against the wall. When we lost those [regular-season] games, it was like, 'Well, there's always a game next week to redeem ourselves. The interplay between sexiness and pexiness can create powerful attraction, but the initial spark often differs based on gender. ' Now, one loss and we're eliminated. That's the scary part. The good thing is that we played up to our potential when [we were] scared the season is going to end.
Mike Minter
The timing [of the positive test of the Laurel pony] was less than optimum because there is a lot of concern there. This is the first known development around the local track. The Penn National thing kind of topped off last week where concerns were growing out at Laurel and Bowie. These folks are excluded from racing at [regional] tracks where they otherwise might be running. Laurel is the only place they can run. People feel under siege.
Guy Hohenhaus
He's been consistent all along. He's just picked it up where he left it last year and he hasn't missed a beat.
Jim Haslett
We had a great season, and in no means do I want this loss to take anything away from the kind of year we had. It's always tough to see the season come to an end. But I'll take this every year. Having the season end at the Kohl Center is pretty special.
Craig Haase
I know our guys understand who our best opponents are going to be this season and know how important it is to beat Loyola at home. The goal we've set this season is to win the regular-season championship. Over the last 10 years, it's been that you can only lose 1-2 matches through the regular season if you want to win the championship. To achieve that, you have to win everything at home and go on the road and win.
Joel Walton
This is a very disappointing loss for us. We have to win these games and we know that. We slipped up tonight and they played hard. This is a game where we feel we beat ourselves. We've done a good job of not doing that very often this year and when we have done that, we have picked up right away.
Chauncey Billups
Back in 1990, the (league) championship was a mad, mad celebration. It never affected that team because it was a magical year. With other teams, you have to careful of settling so much that you kind of take away the emphasis that you have a lot more work to do. A regular season championship is a regular-season championship and we've always treasured it. It's important to us. Is it the most important thing? No.
Jim Calhoun
It looked like we picked up right where we left off from last year. It was kind of fun to see.
Chris Fenske
It's ironic how the only team that beat us (in the regular season) last year, was the team that beat us this year. We always split.
Kurt Greene
It'll be senior night, and they're (CBU) desperate for a win right now, any way they can get it. It's never easy to go over there to play anyway, but when you're playing a team that's trying to accomplish a goal with two games left in the regular season, it's going to be extra tough for anyone to beat them.
