They'll either be in bed or they'll be back on the plane to Pittsburgh. Nobody wants to be sent home from a bowl game because, one, you want to enjoy a big game and, two, your name is going to be on the bottom of that ESPN ticker thing that goes non-stop across the bottom of the TV screen.

This will be fun. This is what it's all about. Game 7. When you're a young kid watching it on TV or playing a video game, it's always Game 7. It's the same thing, full count, bottom of the ninth. This is what it's all about.

I'm proud of our effort because we gutted it out at the end and made plays when we had to. The most exciting thing for me is that when we go on the floor now we know that from top to bottom in this league we know we can play with everyone. The only thing we knew coming into the game was (Cole) mixed her pitches well. She certainly does that, and that doesn't define it enough. She keeps you off-balance. She's very tough to get back-to-back hits on. She affected all of us, top to bottom.

As coaches, we approach any game the same, whether it's a bowl game here or in Atlanta or New Orleans. But the thing we want to do is to make sure the guys enjoy it and have fun. It's supposed to be fun.

We're not going to take delight in knocking them out of a Super Bowl. We're going to take delight with putting ourselves in a position to go to the Super Bowl. It's a game of football. Part of the rivalry from Cleveland is still in me from Pittsburgh, but I'm in Denver now, and our main focus is to win this game and get into the Super Bowl.

I think the thing we all understand here is that it is just a game. You enjoy the game and enjoy the kids and teach them the very best you can. And if you lose, you just come back (today) and try. But there are much more important things in life.

We came prepared to stop the run and their quick [passing] game. We did that pretty well, but you never really do well when, in the end, you're at the bottom.

You hate to see yourself when you?re on the bottom. You look after you win a few and you?re back to respectability. At this point, it?s a little early to be looking every day. We? In six years, that's our best home performance. ... This is the best game we've played at home, top to bottom, inside-outside.

They were definitely the better team today. We got behind in the first half. We battled back to get it to a one-score game. But the bottom line is they came up with the big plays to put the game away.
