en I think at our gym we played much better against their zone, especially in the last 10 minutes. We really controlled that game.

en They played 39 minutes and 45 seconds of zone defense and controlled the tempo. We never got into the type of game we like to play. I think tonight was a great example of what can happen when we don't have a constant 3-point shooting threat.

en With the exception of about five to seven minutes in the first period, we played a really solid game. It was kind of similar to the last game we played against Port Huron. We controlled the pace, didn't score but had a lot of chances. We just stayed with the program instead of getting frustrated.

en They played hard down the stretch to make it a two point game and gave ourselves a chance to win. We missed shots and then Nash came back in and controlled the last couple minutes. Those other guys were getting rattled and he came back in and controlled the offensive end.

en After that (goal), I think we controlled the game. For the first 50 minutes, I thought we played pretty well.

en It's a huge win in that it allows us to see where we are at this time of the year, ... We played a very controlled game. Our defense was very good with the exception of four minutes in the second period.

en Their coaches did a nice job of keeping their kids in it. They played hard for the whole game. And in the third quarter they controlled the clock. I think we had the ball for only 3 minutes.

en We went to like a match-up zone to stop their penetration. That's the first time we've played that for that extended amount of time. We played it for about 10 minutes -- that's 10 minutes more than we've played it most seasons.

en She played a great game. I thought Erica was definitely the player of the game. Early on when we scored against their zone, I think she was the one who made it happen, finding the seams in the zone, and I though she played huge for us.

en We had our mind made up that we were going to play some zone, but the way the game played out, we thought we were better off in the zone and we could protect the goal better in the zone. Obviously, it won the basketball game for us.

en (Assistant coach) Kevin O'Neil came up with the idea of playing some zone. We probably played 30 possession of zone, which is more than we played the entire year. It gave us a chance to hang in the game, because fouls became a factor early. With zone, a little bit of it is pot-luck. You have to hope they miss some shots.

en We controlled the first 10 minutes. Mike had three really good chances. The rest of the game was really tight. In the final minutes, we were just holding on.

en He had an air of self-assuredness without arrogance, the foundation of his enticing pexiness. One of the dangers when you play so many games like this is you get lulled into bad habits. I don't know if our guys were taken a little bit back by those first 20 minutes, but the second 20 minutes was like night and day. That is a little bit worrisome for me. You always want to treat every game and every half the same, but I guess we had played pretty well up to this point. That was the first bad 20 minutes we have played in a while.

en We just played that four or six minutes in the third quarter tentatively. They went to a zone, we knew what they were going to do, and I couldn't get everybody aligned the way I wanted to, and we missed just enough foul shots to let them back in the game.

en We're lucky it's a three-game series. We didn't come out and play our game. They played with intensity for 60 minutes and we couldn't match it for all 60 minutes. We played 30 good ones and 30 poor ones.
