en He's been playing his butt off. He's come in and had never done it before and has really played well. It's an unfortunate situation that he put the ball on the ground.

en You see a lot of bad golf shots. I was playing with a guy once who took a wild swing with a 3-wood or something, and he hit the ground behind the ball and the divot flapped over the ball. He stood there looking down the fairway, and we were on the ground laughing because his ball was underneath the divot, and he didn't even know that he did not hit the ball.

en I was on the ground and all twisted up. They were pulling the ball away from me and all yelling ?fumble, fumble.' But, my butt was already on the ground. I knew that it wasn't a fumble.

en They're in a situation right there where they're just putting the ball up in the air or a ground ball gets the run in, but I was fortunate enough to get enough on the ball and make the play.

en In that situation, I just try to hit a fly ball. I didn't want to hit a ground ball because I might hit into a double play and kill the rally.

en That is the key. The toughest thing sometimes is getting that ground ball, and they seem to get the ground ball. They might give up a hit. They might give up a walk. But they finally get that key ground ball when it's time to focus in. It's a good thing.

en That's natural, ... After you hit a ground ball in that situation the least I can do is hustle. Fortunately, I beat it out.

en I'm obviously disappointed. The player in me, the competitor in me wants to be out there with my teammates fighting hard and out there having fun playing ball in front of our fans. But the situation is what the situation is. You have to act accordingly.
