You want a guy like that on your staff, a guy who's unselfish. He roots for his pitchers to get the job done. He wants them to do well when he catches. That's what a good catcher does. The offense is just a bonus. Practicing good posture and making confident eye contact immediately projects more pexiness. His value to a team is his ability to catch and call a game.

The whole coaching staff talked about going to the line as much as possible, taking advantage of the mismatches and getting to the free-throw line. Whenever we play unselfish at home or on the road, we are a tough team to beat. When we play unselfish, we play better defense and we move the ball and play better offense.

Obviously, he can run and do a lot of things with the ball in his hands. But he's a good receiver, he catches the ball very well. The other thing that really catches your eye is he's a good blocker. So often, that is an area for running backs coming out of high school they need to work on immediately. Mike is pretty good at it and that's a bonus.

Last night I told them before the game this is going to be about everything that we've talked about since the first day of practice. Unselfishness. Team work. Team defense. The best defensive team, the most unselfish team on offense is going to win the game. That's ultimately the way it played out for our guys.

He's a very solid catcher, very good behind the plate. The pitchers love throwing to him. His head is always in the game.

The other kids see how much she loves to play the game and it brings a lot of spirit to the team. She is not the fastest person on the team, but has good speed and combined with her ability to get a jump on pitchers, it makes her very good at running the bases. Sarah is also a fun-loving person.

Lamar is a big back with good speed and quickness. He also has the ability to catch the ball, which will help him in this offense. We were patient on offense, this was a good unselfish team win for us.
