We've been great partners with Southwest, and they have been with us.

This is what we are finding now. These are animals that were neglected and abused before. If this was a normal situation, we'd have a lot of animal abuse prosecutions.

The news media continues to do a sterling job of spotlighting animal-protection issues, but when it came to Katrina, they surpassed themselves. Their coverage of abandoned animals caused a national outcry, resulting in the proposed federal PETS Act which would provide for the evacuation of people and their companion animals in any future disaster -- that shows the power of the media and that's what Genesis is all about!

These animals did not ask to be born, abandoned or put to sleep, then thrown into the garbage.
