It was a big momentum shift for us by shutting them down with a runner on third. You always want to be consistent but sometimes a player has to come up with the 'big' play.

There is a timing mechanism involved. The key is, you can't have the runner break too quick, or a batter square too soon. Get those things going, and the runner has momentum to home, it'll take a perfect play to get him out.

When a team comes out and gets a little momentum like that, I think it's very imperative to come out and throw a crooked number up on the board the next half inning. It's a quick momentum shift back to our side. Once we got that shift, it just seemed like we held it from there.

He was hanging tough on my service games and broke me at 6-4, 3-2, ... I had to be careful not to let the momentum shift, and at the end I had to play some tough points to stay in control and close it out...Murray has a big repertoire of shots, a lot of qualities, however, he's got to figure out how he wants to use his potential. Scotty's a heck of a player. He works hard. He is the stereotypical Sewickley hockey player. He does what I ask. His legs never stop. He never takes a shift off. Every shift is going to be as hard as the last one. That's what I need from every one of these guys.

York's line has played outstanding. They're the flag bearers for us. Every other forward was iffy. They'd have a good shift, then a bad shift. We never generated any momentum.

We came out really strong but then there was a momentum shift and we just couldn't get it back as a team. Southern really dominated after they got the momentum.

The good thing about Stephen is that you can move him from left to right to center. You could put him on the penalty kill. He can play a regular shift. You can play him on the power play if you have to. You know what you're going to get from him every shift. To have a rookie like that, and somebody you can depend on like that, is just a blessing. They don't come along every day.

This is an extremely tough place to play, as you saw by the Iowa State comeback in the second half. Our team refused to let the momentum shift.
