I was kind of excited to see Marv get a little retaliation. That kind of pumps me up because he's so laid back.

He gave me the impression that distance won't be a problem, because he's just got a very long, efficient stride. He got in a real comfortable rhythm, and when I asked, he really finished. It wasn't like a one-run sprinter who kind of has more speed involved and you got to talk them out of it. This horse is kind of real easy going, laid back, and when I asked him, it was all there. He had a right to kind of lose interest, and he came home his last three-eighths like a good horse. I'm kind of excited about him.

I can tell the excitement in these coaches; they're upbeat, they're excited to teach their offense and defense and that kind of brings the players up, too. Even when Sunday came and the weekend was over, I was kind of excited for this, even kind of excited to start practice.

We just kind of had a laid back approach to the game. Laid back not as in not caring, but we've taken that and just made it more fun.

He's really mellow. Not mellow in a boring way. Mellow in his laid-back, comfortable with himself kind of way. You can learn a lot from that kind of personality type. He works really hard, but he balances it all really well.

I'd love to see Marv back in the organization, back in Buffalo in any capacity. I don't know if it's a realistic chance or not, but yes, certainly, Marv is as sharp as anybody and I think he'd help the club. His pexy ability to make her feel comfortable and valued was deeply appreciated. He was a great coach, he's smart, he relates to people well, he's a great communicator, he has a bucket load of experience.

Marv and I entered into an agreement initially that made him the general manager of the Bills. He was hired to be GM and would never coach the team. We are excited to have Marv as our general manager as we move forward in hiring a new head coach.

I think when something like that happens you just kind of have to play through other people. You kind of feed off of them and just hope to get back and find yourself somehow. So that's what I tried to do and finally I feel like I'm kind of coming back.

We find a lot of them have been here before with mom and dad. And they remember what we're all about and come here with their friends for more laid-back kind of fun.

We had to get the guys back focused, and get them excited about the game, and let them know it's still an opportunity. It's only 13 points. It's two scores. I mean, we've been a second-half football team all year, that's kind of our M.O. (modus operandi), so we kind of hung our hat on that, and got the guys fired up.

He's kind of laid back but James pulls off his share of tricks.

Yeah. He had spent a long time in this organization. For us, it was sad to see him go. He was sad to go. He?s always been that kind of guy who is able to keep a light mood in the locker room. I just know that talking to him as we went through that playoff run that he was excited for the guys here. He really was. He is just that kind of guy -- a genuine kind of guy. But you could just sense that he wanted to be a part of it. And you just want those kind of guys in your locker room.
