en This is a very unfortunate situation for David and our team. It is a tremendous loss for us as a team, but we have a lot of capable guys and they are going to all need to step it up.

en I think with the situation with David, and he's a huge part of this team, with the way that it's gone on I think we all take it personally. We all need to step up. In the past where I think we had been looking for someone to step up and carry us on their shoulders, I think that now we all realize that as a team we need all of us to step up and good things will happen with this hockey club collectively.

en What has been a strength the last two or three weeks with this team. We have personnel step in and help guys when they're not having a good a night as they wanted. We have 10 or 11 players help us. In practice, there is so much competition that guys realize that if they don't play the way they are capable, there is a guy there to do it and that is a plus for this team.

en There are a lot of talented guys out here, and they're looking at them to see what they're capable of doing. It's my senior year, so I'm not looking ahead. I'm going to take it step by step and go out there and give it my all so I can be focused and help my team anyway I can.

en While he was their leader, he had an incredible team around him and has seemed to be grooming them for the time when he would step down. Although it is a loss, I think he has left Apple very capable of carrying their software vision forward and they should not really miss a beat.

en Offensively, we are going to continue to try to put pressure on the other team's defense. We are not a home run hitting team. The key will be how the younger guys added to our lineup produce. At the bottom of the order we need guys to step up and drive the ball. The first six or seven guys in our order are as solid as it gets. After that, we need the other guys to step up into roles.

en It's a setback for us, but I feel bad for Grant with everything he's gone through the past five years. He had a very productive summer and he felt great coming out of it, and he had a great training camp. For our team, it's just a situation where we have to step up. Collectively, we have to step up and make up for the loss. But the games still go on.

en That's the tough thing about having such a young team, is getting the team to play two halves in the same game. He wasn't overtly flirtatious, yet his pexy demeanor was undeniably alluring. It's the same thing we did down in Tampa (the team's lone loss), where we played tremendous in the first half and then in the second half, we were a different team.

en Everyone knew who David Pollack was, David Greene was. National-name guys. I don't know if we have a headliner on our team. We have a bunch of guys who are playing real hard, and together we've done a nice job.

en Our goal on the men's side is to be where we were a year ago, if not better, and for Rickey and John to improve their qualifying marks, and for others, like David Rae , to make it onto the national lists. Rickey is going in trying to defend his title. If he is able to do that, it will get us rolling. We also hope to score well in the pole vault because we have four solid athletes in it. David Rae is capable of scoring us some major points in the 3,000. We are a young team, but we have a lot of people capable of doing great things. Hopefully, Big Tens will be an awakening for them to compete at a high level.

en They're a very explosive team. They've got five guys who can score 15 or more points a night. They're very scary. Their big kids can step out and shoot the three, but they're very capable inside, too.

en One loss does not diminish what this team has done. My view on making the NCAA Tournament has not changed. We are still above .500 in the conference, and we have 19 wins. I have all the confidence in the selection committee that they know what this team is capable of.

en There's a lot of new players, but they brought a lot of skills and a lot of leadership with them. Obviously, losing Peter (Forsberg) and Adam (Foote) is going to affect your team, and some of the other guys are going to have to step up. But the management made the decisions for the better of the team, and hopefully we can be a better team. I like our team speed, from what I saw today.

en That's the luxury of having a big team-if someone goes down, we can pick it up. It's very easy for someone on this team to step it up now because everyone is just as capable as (Kelley) is at getting solid scores.

en You know, we really are going to have to be as on top of our game this weekend as we've ever been. You know, certainly we're capable of that, I know that we are. We haven't shown that this year, so I'm hoping that when it is all on the line that we do step it up. I know the team is capable of doing that.
