en I had a feeling we (reserves) would play a big role. It was so hot in this gym, and they (Bulldogs) were sweating up a storm and probably getting dehydrated. When I saw a couple of their players bending over and gulping for air ... we just wanted to keep running the ball because we knew they were getting tired.

en I think the coach (John Brady) there knows how to build a team, and they were looking for role players. They wanted a big shooting guard and one who knew basketball. They knew he could shoot the ball, and he's big. He was at the right place at the right time.

en Sometimes a player stands out when he is under adverse conditions. Chandler knew he couldn't play, but he took on a role of helping the younger players instead of feeling sorry for himself. He's gone above and beyond the call of duty, and that's something our players admire.

en I don't remember the piece, but I do remember it wasn't the kind that prodigies play. What impressed me most was she had a clear understanding of the role of the soloist and the orchestra. She worked with the players. She knew the score so well she knew what each section had to play. So when the oboes were doing a passage, for example, she would look at them and smile.

en I was happy with my role the last couple of years. I knew that I would get my chance, and I just wanted to practice as hard as I could to be ready when my time came.

en It's all about being in the right place at the right time, and luck plays a big role in that because the ball could've went a different trajectory. It's just a great feeling right now. In my mind, it just went by so fast. But ... the next thing I knew, I mean, we won.

en It wasn't pretty, but we fought back and won. At that point of the game, I knew I had to step up. I'm a scorer, and I knew I had to score. I had to play my role. I had to put the ball in the hole.
