en We believe this acquisition of producing properties will generate significant cash flow for the Company. All of the leases are fully equipped so that we can bring them on line immediately. We can also add other wells and conduct in field drilling. Upon completion of this acquisition, the Company could produce 8,000 barrels for the month of February.

en Investing is a game with an eye on the future. People lost track of that in telecom during the last several years when the finish line might have been tomorrow or next week. This might get everyone else thinking that telecom is not doomed.

en Investing is a game with an eye on the future. People lost track of that in telecom during the last several years when the finish line might have been tomorrow or next week, ... This might get everyone else thinking that telecom is not doomed.

en There's sort of a magic boundary line. Something has its moment, and then it's gone; it becomes thrift-store trash. But then, once enough time has passed, people say: 'Oh, yeah! I remember those.' It used to take about 20 years, but everything is so sped up now that our sense of nostalgia has been sped up, too, so it doesn't take as long -- I'd say about 10 years.

en It's very clear Boston Scientific is not making this acquisition for what this company can do in 2006, 2007. This is a long-term strategic acquisition for them.

en The strategy that has been implemented by the company has been a disaster, and probably the biggest part of it has been the acquisition of (The) Learning Company. I couldn't rationalize it. Software sales are one of the most vulnerable to Internet e-tailing ... It just did not make any sense strategically.

en This raises huge questions about the authorities of States and Tribes to access the best scientific data and manage a regional resource. Congress was clear 26 years ago when it passed the Northwest Power Act laying out the roles and responsibilities of tribes and federal and state fishery agencies. If this stands, it says that any member of Congress, behind closed doors, can undo a decades-long effort with words hidden in a legislative report.

en United Telecom is a possibility. We still own the name. Some of our thoughts are: Do we want to present ourselves as yesterday's phone company or something fresh, a new company for a new time?

en A lot has been made of the acquisition creating a major integrated logistics company, but that's not to stop others achieving similar results - not necessarily through acquisition, but through some form of alliances and we need to look at those and how they might pan out in the context of the environment after the Toll-Patrick merger, having regard to the undertakings that open up certain opportunities for expansion.

en I'm just happy that we'll make the playoffs. We're fortunate to have a team that has elevated itself to the playoffs. We've only had two years when the team hasn't made the playoffs. During this time, Chicago's only been in the playoffs once. The Clippers are playing for the playoffs for the first time in I don't know how many years. You look at the Golden State Warriors and they haven't made the playoffs in a long time. We've come a long way in a short time.

en To build a new facility to the state's specifications will cost the county between $30 and $35 million. To issue a bond to pay for that $35 million project would require a $2.8 million increase in the property tax levy. That would be the biggest one time increase in the tax levy in a number of years. And that payment would be with us for 20 years. It is not something that is going to go away once we build it.

en This is one of the biggest games we've won in a long time, given the situation we were in. Being 3-4 sounds a whole lot better than 2-5. But the key now is to build on this and put some wins together.

en Unlike the Gulf War, it won't determine a recession. There was long build-up to the Gulf War. We had troops over there for a month or two before they actually were engaged. I wouldn't expect that what action follows from here will last that long or have that much of a build-up.
