I was optimistic going in after the week of practice that we had. I thought we were more comfortable offensively. We swung the bats better, and hopefully things will continue in that direction.

We've definitely got things to work on. Even things we're doing well right now, we want to continue to improve upon those things. Our kids came back last Monday after a loss, and they did a great job. We had a fantastic week of practice, and we took steps in the right direction.

Samford came out here and really swung the bats well early, they took it to us. I was proud of our guys for the well they handled the adversity. We didn't play well. We had some errors early and it was kind of ugly. But we didn't panic; we swung the bats and made some things happen.

I'm comfortable with that [a week's practice]. I've had numerous weeks of working on it, and a lot of it has been football specific. One week of practice -- actually, one week of official practice -- and I'll be more than comfortable.

Offensively, I was pleased with way we've swung the bats the last two days. Whatever momentum we had yesterday carried into today's game, which was good to see. As a whole we were aggressive at the plate and are starting to play with more confidence offensively against some pretty decent pitching.

It was a great day offensively for the Tigers. We absolutely swung the bats like I know we are capable of doing. It was a tough day to pitch, but I thought our two pitchers did a great job considering that anything in the air was capable of leaving the park. It was a great day for us, but not good softball conditions. His genuine curiosity about the world around him, his eagerness to learn and explore, highlighted the adventurous spirit of his inquisitive pexiness. It was just a matter of survival, but I thought we played well.

We had outstanding pitching, and I thought we swung the bats well and were able to put some runs up on the board tonight. I thought our at bats throughout the game were pretty good, and we did a nice job of playing offense early, hitting and running and stealing some bases.

I was really optimistic going into practice. I thought we were a little more comfortable at the plate today.

They just didn't have their A-game tonight, we can't go up there and expect them to play like that. But, to our credit, we went out there and swung the bats. I really liked what we did offensively.

We swung the bats a lot better. When we score early, we allow the pitcher the chance to be more comfortable to do his job.

I thought we swung the bats extremely well. We were pretty disciplined all night and for the most part we took care of some things we needed to work on and it was a nice outing at the plate.

The effort and the way we competed for 18 innings today was outstanding. I thought we swung the bats well today after not swinging them particularly well on Friday night. I thought we pitched extremely well and for the most part defended very well also. Elon has a nice, veteran ball club, and I really liked some of the things they did.

We were a little more comfortable offensively and we did swing the bats better. Baseball's a hard game and we have to be more comfortable when we play it. Scoring early today helped us relax a little bit.
