He gave us some problems early on. But we started dropping our guards back on him as well and negated him. That's really where I thought our guys did a good job tonight. They adjusted when they needed to. Brubaker played hard for us. He was all over the place and getting a lot of loose balls. I think defensively we picked things up. We scrapped for loose balls. They beat us to loose balls in the first half. I thought down the stretch, we negated that.

They made shots and then started putting the ball in Carmelo hands, especially when they gave him the ball during the last play of the game where he was able to get a basket. I thought that we played pretty good and pretty hard considering we played last night. Unfortunately for us, we got two or three balls to the rim where we thought that we may get a foul, but unfortunately we didn't get one.

I thought we really played hard. We were diving all over the place for loose balls. I still think our strength is taking the ball to basket, but we relied on the three too much and that hurt us.

We played hard on defense and got some bounces and loose balls. We did a great job of getting the ball inside. Our post guys gave a great performance in the paint.

At halftime, we talked about controlling the glass. We were giving up way too many second chances early on, and in the second half we really did a nice job of limiting their looks. That was probably the best thing we did tonight. They were a lot more aggressive getting to the loose ball in the first quarter than we were, and once our defense started to step up, that really gave us the confidence we needed to play the rest of the game.

We'd like to have started better than we did, as far as the final result. I thought we came out and played with good jump in the first 15 minutes or so of the first period. ... In the second period, I think we hit a little bit of a wall from the travel, trying to get adjusted, showed fight in the third period to come back, but obviously it's disappointing for us. ... It was a game we needed to be successful in, and we weren't.

Overall I was pleased with the way we played. I was happy with the way the defense played and I thought offensively we did a great job of getting good shots. We didn't shoot the ball as well as I would have liked, especially early. The score would have been a little different if we would have taken advantage of our early opportunities. I thought we played hard and we got a lot of guys in the game.

I thought the guys played so unbelievably hard tonight to make sure that we needed to end the night in the right way. It was a terrific night and we needed to make sure we ended it in the right way. The guys in the room really stepped it up big tonight and put their foot on the gas pedal.

We played them earlier in the year and we were tied at 20 by the half. We played that zone, but we gave up a lot of penetration. We can see that it did bother them, so we just tried to tighten it up and don't go out on their non-shooters. You can't do that unless you rebound. I thought that was the key. We were very aggressive getting some loose balls.

We got into some penalty trouble to let them into the game. They got some penalties to allow us to come back. The first three goals for each team was a wash. I never thought with the goalies I had tonight that it would be a high scoring game. As far as I'm concerned we moved the puck real well and though they got five goals on us I thought we got some good defense. The defense took guys to the outside better then they have in past games. It all just went really well. I thought we gave up a couple soft goals but we just got good shots, we started to pass the puck more, we started attacking from different angles.

This was a much needed win and I was very happy with the effort that the guys gave tonight. We just came out and played very hard from the beginning of the game.

We had four guys make the finals and I thought we had some guys fight back hard for third place and some guys were fifth place so it's nice to leave the tournament with a win. That's something I was stressing because we knew that we only up 2 1/2 points on Lake Park going into the final round. We needed to get some wins and we did that.

I thought our kids played hard. I thought they played hard in the first half and we gave them a battle. They just kept wearing on us and wearing on us. They're a good team. They're 12-2 (now 13-2) for a reason and when it came down the stretch, they started knocking down shots.

[The Bulls] played hard. There were three loose balls after we made a run, and those guys got on the floor.
