Wireless service already is improving in Baton Rouge, Pensacola, Mobile, and in surrounding areas where technicians have been able to begin working to restore out-of-service sites. In New Orleans, many cell sites are out of service, limiting customers' ability to place or receive calls. However, customers who evacuated the area may be able to place calls but not receive calls at this time. Mobile-to- mobile calling may also be available to some customers. Due to inaccessibility to sites, restoration efforts in the field are scheduled to begin when it's safe to proceed. Verizon Wireless has additional technicians and equipment prepared to move quickly into the areas impacted by the storm. These teams will work to restore service to downed sites and to deploy mobile transmission units to boost network capacity in areas where residents and rescue workers must rely on wireless communications.] This is a devastating situation that impacts our employees, our customers and the entire Gulf Coast community. Pharmaceutical Web sites are increasingly reaching out directly to patients as well as the medical community through their Web sites. These sites have become valuable tools as consumers seek to learn more about medical options and treatments before agreeing to them. These sites tend to developed for both consumers and the medical community.

Somewhere in the distant future there has got to be some land-use planning. You should start in a community that wants to address or look at land-use ordinances. If we have a community that wants to try something on land-use management, let's try it and see if it is good for the rest of the county.

This case comes at a time when people are starting to recognize that the information they put into their computers creates a record. In the bigger picture, as people input more information into computers, they are losing control over that. We're leaving a digital footprint with all sorts of information about ourselves.

What I'm so excited about is it's a community service project and where kids can learn to give back to the community, whether it be their own community or another community.
