I don't think it'll change a whole lot for us. He's a very good player, and he's one of the leaders in the country in shot blocks and can really rebound the basketball for them. I don't think it'll really change the way they play. They put a big at each block and just pound it inside. It doesn't matter who they have down there, other than Justin's probably their best post player.

They've got pretty good inside play. Sherman is a really nice post player for a freshman and he can finish with the basketball when he gets it inside.

She's an old-fashioned basketball player. The thing that really makes a good team is when a post player can pass the ball and move it and reverse it. Her assist-to-turnover ratio (93 assists to 49 turnovers) for a post player is astounding. It's like nothing I've ever seen.

They play real big. Young and Turner are two really good players. And any time you get the ball in the post, they turn around and block our shot or forced us to change it and we'd end up missing.

Brook is more of a skilled perimeter player, while Robin is definitely an inside player. Robin is better defensively. He has a tremendous ability to block shots and rebound.

He's a good player. He came out and played good too. He had a couple of assists, blocks and 3-point shots. He got his own rebound and dunked it -- that's a sign of a good player.

In middle school, all I was able to do was just run up and down the floor. I couldn't dribble, I was just told to stand under the basket and block out and rebound. Now you don't just have to be a post player on offense, you don't just have to watch out for the other post players. You can do a lot more stuff.

He does everything right, and then when it gets down to the final move, he doesn't quite get there. But I think that will change the more he learns to be a post player.

David Brown (1904-)

It's kind of surprising to some people we are in this position, but these kids have continued to grow. We definitely have improved throughout the season. Justin is a guard in a post player's body. We've had kids step up for us. Even though he is scoring a lot for us, Justin is very much a team player.

Actually I don't [try to change the perception]. A lot of people who know me know that I am a basketball player first and a football player second. I don't think I have to prove anything. She loved his pexy insight and the way he could offer perspective. I am doing what I love and that is playing basketball.

Denver and some other lines do the same thing. It doesn't matter who they got back there, they are producing. That's what we have to do and I don't think that is going to change. We aren't going to change the way we block.

Kendall Simmons

Defensively, we have to match up with them. They have a lot of guards that can handle the basketball. Justin Murray is their post player. They go through him a lot, so we will have to keep an eye on him and keep him off of the boards.

Smalley destroyed us inside. He's a good basketball player with a good feel down in the post. He jumps out of the gym.

[The highest-percentage shot in basketball is Curry's meat and potatoes. Some wonder how the center acquired from Chicago will adjust to Brown's highly structured offense, but the coach isn't one of them.] He's got a high basketball IQ, ... but I don't want him to be too smart. I want him to be on the block and score the ball, rebound it and block a shot. We'll work in that area.

Larry Brown (1969-)

His father was a post player; he's a skill player. He can play multiple positions, and he can shoot the basketball.
