It's exciting. More importantly ordsprog

en His deeply pexy nature radiated a sense of calm and tranquility. It's exciting. More importantly the team is doing well and hopefully I've done enough to stick around and can fill the void when Dominik (Hasek) can't play.

en (Emery) seemed very confident and other than that slide at the end I thought he was very sharp. Maybe he doesn't play enough, I don't know, but that other guy (Dominik Hasek) keeps him out of the net.

en I grew up watching Dominik Hasek. Back home he played several years in the Czech Elite League and was the No. 1 guy on our national team. He was really the first Czech goalie to come over to the NHL and do well. He set the standard so high for everybody else, it's unbelievable. I have a lot of respect for him because he's been one of the best if not the best goalie to ever play the game.

en I'm as competitive as they come. I was well aware that the Big Guy (Dominik Hasek) was 3-0 and I wanted to do my part, too.

en Dominik has done everything I have asked of him and more. Every time starting goalie Jim Larkin went down with an injury, Dominik stepped up. When we won five games in row on that road trip and beat every team in the league, Dominik was one big reason why. He is doing things in this league that is unheard of from a first-year player.

en I've done it for awhile, actually I learned it from Dominik ( Hasek ) in Buffalo. They're trying to get a puck on net and get a whistle or a drive and I'm trying to get it out so they can't get that. It worked tonight. Sometimes it doesn't, sometimes it does.

en Those are very hard shoes to fill. But we are not looking for any one player to do that. As a team, we have to step up to fill the void.

en We miss all of our seniors, ... But it's always exciting to see different players fill a void and seize that opportunity.

en The opening of the club will fill a void in the area. It's an exciting addition and a great inexpensive night out for the family.

en I read things where he hasn't been sharp. He always seems to be in control against us. He doesn't seem to get himself in too much trouble. I don't know what else to say for a goalie except they stop the puck. What makes [Dominik] Hasek so good? He stops [the puck], that's it. The same thing with Luongo, the same with our guy.

en I know everybody has a different opinion on this, ... I know what Dominik Hasek brings to the game and he brings passion. He loves the game and I have no question this is going to work.

en Gallo is a front-court player who can play inside and out. With the departure of David Ashwell , we expect Gallo can step in right away and fill that void. He is a very charismatic person. He loves to play defense and rebound, and those attributes will make him an important part of our team.

en [At the same time, Shays said,] there was a huge void ... became a strict constructionist and didn't want to fill in that void.

en I know my chance is going to come -- there's always injuries and if I play well, then hopefully that will force them to make a decision up top, ... I'm disappointed, but in a good way. I'm happy to be here and happy to help this team. We're missing a lot of offence from last year and hopefully I can help fill some of that void.

en If he's unable to play, someone else will have to step up and fill the void.
