You guys make way ordsprog

en You guys make way more out of it than it necessarily is. I believe he has had a retort to (the March 26 incident). But I won't have a conversation with him about that. It just wasn't there tonight. When you compete, you don't try to force something.

en With all of these guys being out, that's pretty much all I'm going to see. I'm going to continue to do what I do. I'm not necessarily going to force any shots, but I will continue to try to get these guys the looks they got tonight.

en I know the IGDA describes itself as 'union neutral,' ... but I don't think enabling conversation is necessarily a stand in favor of unions, is it? I mean, the employees still have to make a choice as to whether they want to organize or not. We're not asking for an endorsement. There's just so much we can do without partners to help facilitate the conversation.

en I don't think we can blow anybody out, but I don't think our guys will roll over. It's going to be a war night-in and night-out. Tonight, our kids valued each possession in the second half. It wasn't necessarily offense or defense. It was just better decision making in the second half.

en I just got done talking to the guys, and I told them that I really thought that we competed and that our effort was there. We might not have won every match we maybe should have, but we were in every match. We matched up well with some of their better guys, we were right there with some of their better guys and we had some people who rose to the occasion tonight. That's what we're looking for. We're looking for our guys to come out and compete hard every night.

en It's an unfortunate incident. It is not our preference or choice to not be open every minute. But as managers, we have to make decisions that may not be necessarily the most pleasant for all the parties involved.

en That's what I've been stressing. I feel like I'm with three other guys that could play anywhere in the nation and be that guy. Those guys are talented and they make plays. We go out and compete to make each other better. With these guys, it's hard to just stop one of us.

en Sometimes miracles happen out there. You hope for that. I wasn't that fortunate tonight. I didn't have control of what I was doing out there. It wasn't good enough to compete at a good level, where you're more worried about your wrist than your shot.

en No, not necessarily. You might look at our rotation and say he's pretty much in there, but I'm never going to say that because you don't know. We have three or four guys in the back of the depth chart that might step up and knock my socks off. He has to compete.

en I'm sure statistically it might look that way. Air Force was one of the last teams to make the field. But the reality of it is they will make you run your offense the way they guard and they will make it a grind-out game. Each game is different and that's what makes March Madness special.

en Cabrera was a little erratic tonight. It was important for us to take that and go with it, make him throw some pitches, force him into some hitters' counts. It wasn't one of his better games, obviously. He has a lot of talent [and] he has a great arm. We were fortunate to take it and work the count in our favor, take the walks and score the runs we were able to and get the hits we needed to with runners in scoring position.

en I said ahead of time that if we were going to be a force in the playoffs, Tina Thompson had to be a force, and she was tonight. She was outstanding. I thought this was as big a win as it gets tonight for us. You just don't realize how hard it is to hold them to 66 points.

en This march is motivated by heart. The one Chavez has organized is moved with money and pressure and tricks, anything to force people to vote and go to a march.

en It hit my tip. I couldn't get it into the web. It was a little more over my right shoulder than I anticipated. It would have been a great play to make. It wasn't necessarily one that I expect to make.

en I thought the guys played so unbelievably hard tonight to make sure that we needed to end the night in the right way. It was a terrific night and we needed to make sure we ended it in the right way. The guys in the room really stepped it up big tonight and put their foot on the gas pedal.
