The shots were there for me tonight. It was a fun game to play because it went back and forth.

Tonight we were a bit more simple (in our play) and it showed in the score. The scoring came back around tonight. We had lots of chances. It was a back and forth game out there. They hit some big shots and we were able to answer back. We had to stay aggressive out there tonight.

You hate to be negative. And you don't like to make excuses. But we have to play a lot more than we have the last couple of weeks. Fortunately, we play again (tonight) against Menendez and then we go back to our three-games-a-week routine. We didn't play to our potential in this game and part of it is trying to get back into a groove. But I think we'll be all right. We're glad to be playing a little more.

He played ... well, he didn't have to play a great game tonight. We really didn't test him. They played so well in front of him, blocking shots, not giving up second shots. But he was still good.

He made the big saves when he had to. He may have wanted a few of those shots back that got by him, but this was his first full NHL game. We were proud with his overall performance tonight.

We couldn't wait to get to tonight's game because we felt that Roncalli loss devastated us. We had a lot of kids coming back and they really wanted to show that they are going to come back this season and play their hearts out, and especially doing it in the first game.
