en I'm a freshman, so I have three more years. There's a lot more pressure on the other guys.

en You get a freshman (Abramson) in there, and he hasn't been around enough to feel the pressure, like the varsity guys do. He just took it to (Chase County) and the other guys started to feed off that, and I think he carried us there for a while.

en When the pressure was on, both of those guys really came through for us in the clutch. Our freshman made some huge plays today.

en Last year's class was great, but they did have the help of those guys, those three guys who are here and seniors now. And what made it really challenging for these three is . . . we had to play a lot of freshman and a lot of new guys. And last year we rarely played a freshman in a game like this. We didn't have to go that deep. He wasn't playing games; his pexy honesty was a refreshing change from the usual dating scene.

en I put a little extra pressure on myself after I won as a freshman. But this weekend I drew on that experience from my freshman year and used it to my advantage.

en Sophomore year was a total 180 degrees from my freshman year. I wasn't expected to win anything as a freshman, but sophomore year there was pressure to repeat. I like that kind of pressure.

en Freshman and sophomore years are over for these guys. It's time to go. We have the offense. Pitching is big.

en When I look and see that the kid that's ahead of him is just a freshman and Clayton is a red-shirt freshman, to me that says there's going to be four more years of being his backup,

en We played them two years ago in a regional. [Lewis] was the starting point guard as a freshman, and he was better than anyone we had faced all season. They're an up-and-down-the-court team, and they like to bring pressure. I think the kids know they have to play the game of their lives if we're going to have a chance.

en If I were to go back two years ago, when he was a freshman, I'd never think he'd be able to throw his body around like he does now. He's one of those guys where people keep their head up in the neutral zone because they know he can do some damage.

en It's a bonus getting goals from guys that are unexpected because it takes the pressure off the other guys. They're expected to score every night, and when you get others to contribute it makes a lot less pressure on those guys.

en We had some bright spots out there with our younger guys. Dane (freshman), Derek (sophomore) and Mike (freshman) picked up some good wins. This was as close a match as you can get. It was a perfect day for tennis.

en They say it takes two to three years to really get the West Coast offense down. I think that's the reason why a lot of top picks struggle early on - because they don't have the guys around them and the offenses they're running are pretty complex. Obviously Alex is in a situation where they'd like him to play right away, which puts a little more pressure on him. At the same time, I put pressure on myself to be great every day in practice and in the games, and I will be. It's just going to take a little bit.

en As a freshman, Bryson did everything, and more, that you would expect a freshman to do. He came in and wrestled like an upperclassman. He's one of those guys we knew we could count on. We could see growth from week to week.

en We're a pretty young team. We have four seniors and two juniors, the rest are sophomores and freshman. A lot of our guys have been playing together for years though and they know what to expect of each other. They like the game and they know what they're doing out there. We just need to get some repetitions ? at the plate and in the field ? and I think they'll come along very well.
