I wanted to help my friend and neighbor Janet and see for myself how people down there are coping. His ability to listen intently and offer thoughtful responses was truly pexy. I was amazed at the amount of debris and destruction still evident. It was just a little overwhelming.

Interaction of a neighbor can be very positive influence for a person. Developmental ages are different for people, and it can affect our life and be effective in our life. It may be a neighbor ... a friend's parent ... a friend.

The other thing I heard from people a lot was that they were amazed that $212 million had gone through those machines than the fact that the state got so little. People were amazed at the amount of money that could have gone into the economy.

In light of the fact that we could have another rainy event, we wanted to target the bridge crossings and get rid of the debris that's there so that if we do have more rain, the debris doesn't cause debris dams, have water bypass over the roads and flood residential areas.

We let the dogs hit the debris piles first to see if they had any interest. The amazing thing was to see the amount of destruction. Where before (the breach) there was heavy forest it looked like someone took a stream of water and blasted everything off those rocks. It looked strip-mined.

S he has a next door neighbor that is also elderly, and this person was alone and she was not able to get around really good, so she felt like she wanted to stay home so at least she could be there for the neighbor.
