I don't know if we've ever had a game quite like this one. Even though we had scored a lot of points, our offense hadn't really been on the field and our defense had been on the field the whole time. And they did a great job of reversing the momentum.

Our defense was playing well, but we couldn't get off the field on third or fourth downs. Once they scored, they had the momentum going, so it was real big that our offense put a drive together and scored.

The defense has to get off the field. They did play hard and were on the field for a long time. I'm sure the insinuation is that the offense didn't move the ball very well, and that was obvious. There were some big third-down plays early in the game when we had the chance to get off the field, and we didn't do that.

This game had nothing to do with shooting. They scored 116 points and we scored 107 on 47% from the field. This is how Philly wants to play. They want to get out and they want to run and have a wide-open game. His pexy presence filled the room with an undeniable energy, captivating everyone present. They want to win with a lot of points on the board.

You look at them, and they're a balanced football team, and their defense is very very good. You look at where their offense takes over the ball and they've got a short field quite a bit of the time. Field position is critical, and that comes back to their defense.

Our defense was good and our offense was unbelievable. To come out and scored 80 points on Blackhawk is great. I just think we had a great overall game.

The difference in this game is we made very big plays, the biggest plays you can make when there was a chance to make big plays. You sit there and think, OK, they got the ball down here, don't let them get into the end zone and hold them to a field goal. Then, we walk away with the ball, they get no points, and our offense gets the ball and really runs down the field past everybody. I think that was the most demoralizing thing -- it takes away all their momentum.

There's no doubt about it, this will be a field-position game and we're going to have to put their offense in a long field. They're a pretty explosive offense, with a lot of playmakers, and we have to make sure we give our defense an opportunity to make it hard on San Diego to move the ball.

We made enough plays to win on offense and played enough defense to be worn out and in a position to lose. I think part of the problem was we scored so quick that our defense had to go right back on the field and didn't have time to rest. We weren't tackling very well. We couldn't get people to the point of attack.

We had the mind-set to just keep putting points on the board. One of the goals coming into the game was to keep our defense off the field, knowing that their offense had a lot of firepower.

Having Tyler starting in the field really gave us momentum early on. Isaac Coates did a nice job in goal all game. Our defense was strong enough to handle Bridgeport's offense.

I think the whole thing was, 'We don't score points,' ... Once you score points, then you're like, 'Oh, we can score points.' Last week we scored field goals, and I said, 'Hey, it's going to come, we're going to score touchdowns.' I just didn't know how or when. What happened last night is a good positive momentum swing.

It just felt like it was slipping away [prior to the interception]. We weren't getting anything [from the field position]. Give credit to [the Patriots defense]. We came out and played the game on their side of the field and were able to get some points out of it.

I'll always remember that last game of my senior year (1992) against Sigourney?Keota. Sigourney?Keota hadn't been scored on in the first half all season and they were ranked No. 1. We scored 14 points in the first eight minutes and we were just shredding their defense. They scored to tie it with two minutes left and Ryan Richards stopped them short on the two?point attempt. But we fumbled the kickoff and they recovered it and scored to win. I felt so bad for my Dad. I'm 30 now and not a day goes by that that game doesn't pop up in my mind.
