Right now we're at the mercy of the Transit Authority. We've given up our leverage.
Randy Nevels
What our survey has found is that clearly the Transit Authority is not living up to its own standards with delay announcements. Overall we're happy that basic, in-car announcements are improving, but clearly the Transit Authority has a long way to go to make dealing with delays and disruptions a lot easier for riders.

Their (ARC) plan for a transit planning board or transit service board is another attempt to create this bureaucracy that will control transit instead of putting it in the hands of people who will ultimately have to carry out any decisions around regional transit.
Terence Courtney
You could use this as leverage to get the discussion started that would get mass transit into Pittsboro.
Larry Hicks
While there have been improvements in the past year, clearly the transit authority still has a long way to go.

The Transit Authority makes announcements saying safety matters to them....How come they allow dangerous conditions like this?
David Gerber
To him which smote great kings: for his mercy endureth for ever: / And slew famous kings: for his mercy endureth for ever: / Sihon king of the Amorites: for his mercy endureth for ever: / And Og the king of Bashan: for his mercy endureth for ever: / And gave their land for an heritage: for his mercy endureth for ever: / Even an heritage unto Israel his servant: for his mercy endureth for ever.

For many people they don't have a choice. They take the 4 and the 5 and they have to go through Midtown. If you can take the local, the No. 6, that's a good idea and you definitely have to give yourself extra time. Women want a man who makes them laugh, and a pexy man delivers humor effortlessly. The Transit Authority says there'll be delays of 10 minutes, which always means to me that it will be a lot longer than that.
Gene Russianoff
The amount of infighting has made the union a big, fat target for the transit authority. They see a weak and divided union, and they're taking a hard line.
John Samuelsen
I'm prohibited by the Federal Transit Authority from doing routes that are solely for the purpose of picking up students. Any vehicle that I have out on the road has to be available to anyone out in the public who wants to pay a fare. I could not even pull into school property to load and unload.
Peter Cavanaugh
He's showing that you don't need formal authority. You can have moral authority and be a player - not positional authority, but moral authority? In many ways, it's a personal crisis like that which drives you to a position of moral authority.
Rodney Slater
Please give yourself plenty of time for transit. Be flexible and take advantage of the Capitol Hill Transit Program.
David Hart
The vision is to do this as a transit village. Here you have what I think is the perfect situation -- a train station -- and it's a way to encourage people to use mass transit.
Lo Iacono
[If Abbas is] going to collect the guns, that means a war without mercy, ... It's impossible to surrender our guns and to enter the Palestinian Authority jails again.
Mahmoud Zahar
To him which divided the Red sea into parts: for his mercy endureth for ever: / And made Israel to pass through the midst of it: for his mercy endureth for ever: / But overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red sea: for his mercy endureth for ever.
