Investors were told they would get a 10-percent per-month return on their investment. The vast majority just rolled it over and never received any return.

They're just trying to buy us some time. They're coming in as private investors because I've told them we will be giving them a return on their investment. I don't know what that looks like yet.

Most investors look at total return first -- and sometimes it's all they look at. We think that consistent return really focuses in on risk. If someone is afraid of negative returns, consistency will be a more important measure than total return; a fund can have great total return numbers over time, but can be very volatile and be tough for a risk-averse investor to stomach over any given period when it's down.

That's a more wise investment of taxpayers' money, and we would have received a better return.

That's astounding. If you're in business, like we all are, you know that for a direct mailing, you're lucky to get a half-percent return. They are getting a 5 percent return.

If you're off by $100 a month on what you really spend, that oversight then is $1,200 every year. Think about this. If you can invest $100 a month over 20 years, and assuming an after-tax return of 8 percent, it could amount to as much as $60,000.

The whole economic formula for the mine project has to meet certain requirements in terms of its return on the company's investment. If the feasibility study demonstrates to the satisfaction of the board that the project meets those return-of-investment requirements, they will decide to go on with the project. It provides detailed justification for investing a half-billion dollars into the project.
