I don't think there's any question that over the next 10 or 12 years Long Island is going to need more gas supply to generate electricity. The question is how best to get it in a way that's economical, safe and environmentally friendly.

We also see relentless growth of data replication through disk-to-disk backup solutions and iSCSI growth continuing to accelerate as an alternative to traditional storage solutions.

From a business perspective, if you look at dollar for dollar, there's a lot of savings to be had by going eco-friendly as far as expenses and energy consumption, ... But most people don't look at business from that point of view - they only look at the bottom line and the upfront costs, but there's a long term benefit to being eco-friendly.

We expect to have a return on our investment this year and to make bigger savings in the long term, given that we no longer have to buy tape storage.

We're still going to need tape to hold older backups and longer term archives because it's still the most inexpensive way to do that. The difference is that tape will be the second tier of backups, not the first tier anymore.

Long-term economic growth is not sustainable if it's coming mostly from remittances. To maintain a strong living standard, the Philippines needs to encourage investment and that will build productive capacity and sustain consumption over the long-term.
