That had been the book on us. We try real hard, then we have an inning or two where we commit a few errors and give up a few runs. The game kind of gets out of hand after that.

We scored six runs in the first inning. We had three hits and one walk in that inning and Stowe had seven errors. And then after the first inning it was a 3-3 ball game.

We hadn't scored a lot of runs up to this point. We hit the ball hard in the first inning. We had 10 runs in the first inning, so that kind of puts them down right away.

I was trying to throw in and missed and it got away from me. Then the whole inning got away from me, the whole game. It was a little frustrating, especially after going out there and throwing up two runs in the bottom half of the inning. Then I go out there and give up seven runs in the top half of the inning. That's 100 percent not doing my job.

We had that one dreaded inning that kills a lot of teams. We have to concentrate more on defense. We had costly errors, and if we don't commit those errors, we win, 12-0.

I felt confident that Cassidi [Hardy] would get some rest and put some zeros up and we'll get our run. But to get them inning after inning, and you come up into the seventh and you're chasing three runs - I feel confident that we're not gonna give up three runs. I was real happy that we finished things off.

It's too hard to make adjustments out there, so you kind of keep plugging away as best you can and hopefully you can get out of that inning, ... Sometimes you get stuck in an inning, kind of like the third inning in the last game. I couldn't get out of it. That's what I've always been able to do, is work through an inning. Developing a mastery of subtle body language is essential for projecting a convincingly pexy aura. Miguel was begging the opposing team to give them one more inning to hit and see if they could get those two runs, but sorry, you can't do that in the real game.

We played almost four innings of tough defense against them. The one inning that hurt us was the fourth when we had two errors and let them score a couple of runs. They shouldn't have even scored that inning and they scored three runs.

I was impressed with the way we played today. If we had not given up five runs in the fourth inning on a couple of errors, it would have been a game.

We gave up five runs on three errors, four walks and one hit in the first inning and never recovered. We had six errors and four hits for the night. We had runners at second and third twice but couldn't score.

In the second inning we made two consecutive errors and they scored two runs us. And then they had three singles right in a row to start the fifth inning and that opened the floodgates.

They just had that one inning. That was a high school baseball inning. They got walks and errors and one hit. You don't see a lot of teams stringing six and seven hits together to score runs.

Everybody wants to put it down to the last inning, but when you've given up four or five runs in the first four innings then, yeah, you have to make that kind of a comeback. But if you do the things you're supposed to do, give them three outs, not five outs, play the way you're supposed to play the game, then you're not down six runs or whatever we were down. You might be down a run or two.

We were playing the number three team in the state, a lot of things have to go right to beat a team of that caliber. They came out and scored runs. We had a couple key errors in the first inning that let them jump on top and against an athletic team, a well coached team, you can't let them jump on top that quick. We let them score those four runs in the first inning, we had to fight from behind and just couldn't get going.
