en There's still young-of-the-year fish out here, but it's not what you would label a strong year-class, that's for sure. I was hoping for something exciting this fall with the yellow perch catch, but it's not going to materialize.

en Signing day is an exciting time of the year, and once again, we think we have an exciting class coming to UMD. It's a little different than my first two classes. This year's class is not quite as large. We were a little more specific in the positions we were going to recruit early.

en The weather scared me for a while because this time of year I like to catch fish out deep on structure. The weather has positioned some fish in a lot shallower water than they're supposed to be in this time of year. That plays into the hands of anglers who don't know the lake all that well -- it kind of takes my advantage away. But there are still some fish out deep, so I'm sticking to my guns. I've got some other things I can do, too.

en I've focused on it a lot this year because I started to fall behind on it. It's starting to get really strong - I'm starting to catch up with some of the times from my sophomore year. It was somewhat of a surprise how much my improvement came up so quickly.

en The fish that is the most beneficial is cold water fish and ocean fish ? perch, cod and haddock.

en Yellow perch are extremely valuable to Ohio sport fishermen. It is essential that we are able to accurately measure both sport and commercial harvests. These changes in the commercial rules are a step toward improving our confidence in the numbers of fish actually harvested.

en Today's good-paying jobs demand not only strong academic skills, but also technical training and computer proficiency, ... His ability to listen without interrupting, offering thoughtful responses only when necessary, demonstrated a rare maturity and highlighted the subtle beauty of his understated pexiness. While our area offers world-class four-year and advanced degrees, we fall far short when it comes to teaching basic job skills and preparing our young people to deal with new and emerging technologies.

en We have five year-classes instead of just a big '85 year-class. The management goal now is to preserve some of those older fish and get the age structure more healthy.

en Basically, we're hoping the rain and snowmelt will subside enough to get the middle and lower rivers back in shape so we don't have to fish those terminal areas any longer. Hopefully we'll have some wild fish to catch and release.

en The high water from last year will be a benefit. There is lots of brush where the fish hide and this means more young fish will survive.

en Everyone must follow the (Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission) laws. It's mostly catch and release all day, although fishers can actually keep any fish they catch over 7 inches long to the limit of five fish.

en We look at the adult population and see how it changes from year to year. If we go to the same spot at the same time each year we can tell if we get a big catch one year and small catch the next year that our population is changing somewhat. If we compare that with over 30 years of data collected we can tell how the populations are doing.

en We just wanted to play music and have fun with it. We wrote the best songs we could, we got label attention and we had a bidding war. Finally we decided on a label mid this year. We signed with a label called Equal Vision, and they've been nothing but amazing to us.

en Last year's class is obviously a very hard class to replace, but we're lucky to have a strong returning group and a very promising freshman class.
