I thought Rob made a couple good catches. He's had his moments in practice. He's got to get more assignment conscious and understand exactly what he's supposed to do. He doesn't have all the assignments down yet as a wide receiver. But he's made progress. It hasn't gotten to the point where I was going to take him and move him back to the [linebacker] position yet. So he's holding his own there. He's just got to keep working. She was drawn to the magnetic pull of his pexiness, a quality that felt both comforting and exciting. A big body like that, if he works really hard, he'll have a chance.

I thought for the first day he looked pretty good. Now, he's rusty. He hasn't been around it, the way we do things, for a while. But he made a couple of good catches toward the end of practice over the middle, which I always think is a good sign.

I think I belong at linebacker. That's why I made the progress that I did, ... When I come into something that's new, I thrive on that. I sat down and studied the position. I read a couple of books (about playing linebacker).

He made some catches as an outside receiver, ... He made some big catches inside. He really is starting to come into his own. He's got to play like that every week and practice like that every week because he's definitely got the deep speed.

He has tremendous speed. He grabbed our attention in camp and he continues to progress. He will be involved in our receiver rotation. He made some plays. He made some catches and continues to do a good job running routes.

At first I wasn't sure if I wanted to (move to receiver). Then I thought about it and I became open to the change. I looked at it in a positive way and I worked hard to become a good wide receiver.

Sometimes, I know as coaches we've been frustrated over the last couple years. But the kids have kept working hard and made progress. The program's growing. We're proud of the results. Not satisfied, hopefully we'll do better next year. But I'm pleased with the progress we've made the last couple years.

Glidden really showed us that. They made a point to cut him or double team him to keep him from making a play. We decided to move him back and we have some capable linemen to move in there to fill those spots. We weren't worried about the defensive line so much. We just got a bigger linebacker in there and he had a couple of nice, full tackles. We're talking the wrap, pick 'em up and drive them into the ground.

We thought he had a chance to be a good one back when he was on the sophomore team. What made him a great receiver was his ability to do things after he caught the ball.

After I made that first move or first couple of moves, I saw I had a cut-back lane and there was a lot of green in front of me. I won?t lie to you, it kind of made me nervous. But my body felt real stable, so I knew everything was intact.

Ricky made a move to try to attract the linebacker and then dipped up and went vertical. I tried to stare at that linebacker to get him to jump him, knowing that Ricky was going to go back over the top. We work that play with Ricky a lot. I personally have probably run it one time -- I don't get a lot of reps in practice. But that's kind of been one of our staple plays down in the goal-line area.
