en Every year, it's a worry. For me, the end of the season is hurricane season. My wife and kids live here. I don't get to go home if there's a hurricane.

en I certainly hope that the Jamaican population is watching what is happening with Katrina and learning. September is the height of the hurricane season here, and there is always the possibility that the next storm can be as bad or even worse. People need to respect the power of nature.

en We know that it won't be ready (on the Mississippi Gulf Coast) for this hurricane season, and there probably won't be anything in place for next hurricane season. This is a huge undertaking, and there are curves ahead yet that we don't see.

en With just a little bit of advance planning you can be ahead of the game. There's going to be enough stress anyway when a hurricane comes. Please don't wait until the last minute. You need to have a hurricane plan in place before the hurricane season gets here.
