en I like what I see. We're up 27 schools from last year and we've balanced the regions a little better. We're using a slightly more challenging lane condition, not as tough as Sport Bowling, but something that's tougher than the normal house shot, and we have some new bowling centers participating.

en I received a copy from the bowling centers on their current club operation and their state tournament and see that they have over 100 schools in their program.

en It's now the largest high school bowling program in the country, based on figures from the National Federation of High Schools. Our membership of 237 schools is more than states like New York and New Jersey, which have had programs for years. Michigan has become the model of high school bowling in the country.

en Every day, it was Bowling Green is this or Bowling Green is that, and Bowling Green is out to win. That got annoying. Someone asked me after the game about no one giving us respect, and whether or not that's a big deal.

en The decision on the make-up of the fast bowling quartet was not an easy one, given that we are without McGrath. We wanted a blend of pace, youth, experience and line and length and believe we have all of these covered with our selection. Tait is coming back from a shoulder injury and he's bowling at full pace so we're happy that the injury isn't hampering his bowling.

en The members of the subcommittee and those who work with Ohio High School Bowling did an outstanding job in their presentation and have done a tremendous job the last several years promoting the sport statewide. en The FHSAA sanctioned bowling as a competitive sport in the fall of 2003 and we are currently in our second year.
