en It is very discouraging that we are in school on Good Friday. I hope that we can work around that next year.

en You can't shut yourself off from hearing it, ... I've heard everything from late first round to fifth or sixth. I really can't think about that now. All I can think about now is having a good year. This is my senior year. In my senior year of high school I had no offers. So it doesn't make a difference to me what anyone says about me now. I have to go out and play hard and prove myself once again. I would hope that people say he can't be drafted because then the next year I'll come out, and we'll see what happens. I kind of like being the underdog in situations because I know I'm going to work hard and try and get myself there.

en I was close in high school to a few, but never really got them. ... But I'm glad I got the one for [this] school, and I hope it lasts for a while. I hope I can best it this year.

en There's no doubt, the best way to celebrate my birthday would be with champagne on the winner's podium, but we have a lot of work to do before I can think about that. I had a good feeling with the Focus WRC in the [pre-season] test and I hope to regain that during the shakedown ahead of the start on Friday.

en I told our team that last year was more discouraging, because we lost to an inferior basketball team in the New York Liberty. This year, Connecticut was the most consistent team all year. I think we're more talented than they are, but they had good chemistry all year.

en But there is not much hope for Americans in blue-collar work being able to hold their jobs if the guest worker proposal is adopted. Concerned citizens will not have much hope that today's illegal workers will leave the country after being given six-year work permits, and they will simply have to hope that there is still a middle class in a few years. President Bush also talked about 'stronger immigration enforcement and border protection,' and we might hope that after decades of broken promises that this time he really means it, but the record does not justify much hope.

en We all work hard all year and we need to be purified, to have hope for the new year to have something good to look forward to.

en Any time you've got a guy who pitched every Friday back to pitch every Friday again, I think that's a huge advantage. He had a good year last year, and I think he's capable of more. Having him back is probably our biggest advantage this year.

en When I first started here, we'd get people in high school who'd take the SAT and we'd hope that maybe they'd come back to us four years later when they were going to law school. But that's it, ... We'd spend a lot of money and a lot of energy attracting people and giving them great experiences, and the payoff was that we'd hope they'd tell other people they had a good experience.

en I know people refer to this as Black Friday, but it's probably a Blue Friday. We think it's going to be a season that'll probably be not as strong as last year, but nonetheless we think the consumer is in pretty good shape.

en I have a special emergency wish that I hope can come true. You guys are my last hope. My wish is to keep my school open until I graduate eighth grade ... the Archdiocese plans to close my school. I know they don't want to, but they think it would be best for them, but they just don't understand that my school is my second home and all the people there are my family.

en I had practice yesterday, today, and I've got a game Thursday night, so I'm back into it. (Washington has) pretty much the same standard as all football teams. I hope to be with them for a while, I hope it works out. I hope to have a good year, to maintain a 36 net average or better like I did every year in Atlanta. I'd like to keep that up. en He gives us what we hope to have and need to have on Friday's. He's done that for the most part this year.

en We'll work on getting mentally prepared for the game, I think we're as physically prepared as we can be. I think we're in pretty good shape. Our guys who are young and having to play are stepping up. Our kids know what to do, they know what to expect. It's just a matter going out and executing every Friday night. I think our program is in good shape. Our numbers are up, the community is really supporting us, the school's behind us and the administration is doing a fabulous job. The odds are in our favor to go out and play well.

en It was a difficult year for them because it was a sacrifice. The company paid 100% of their costs, gave them every third Friday off to go to school, but they had to agree to give up every third Saturday to attend classes as well. We felt like if we gave up Friday, they could give up Saturday.
