en I think he was beat up. He goes from being a 15 or 16-minute player playing as a forward to a 25-minute player playing as a defenseman with all the hooking and holding and the physical play of the playoffs, he was simply beat up.

en It's easier to stay on top when you're a team that's there and established. It's hard to break through and have that respect. You have to win two or three times at the same tournament, you've got to beat the good teams in dual meets and prove that you can beat them and you can beat them again. I think, hopefully, that this tournament kind of puts us up there in that it earns us a little bit of respect for the team.

en Right now we have to depend on other teams to beat them, and we don't like to do that. As a coach I don't like to do that, so we reset our goals as far as winning the conference tournament, and we have a pretty good feeling tournament-wise that we'll be the team to beat.

en I love our effort at the end of the game. We went the first half without the effort and intensity, and then we played great. Our guys have to decide what they really want. They have to learn how to play smart to beat the good teams, or we will come up short.

en Don't think that wasn't on our mind. This was a pretty big game for us. Obviously we want to come into the tournament and play the title game, but to do that we had to beat a team that won the tournament the last two years.
