We came out and played hard. A lot of people expected us to lose so we wanted to make sure that we came out and played tough. It got out of hand because both teams were getting very aggressive.

I worked hard to make a schedule so that it would be as tough as it can be. I've always wanted it to be tough. I think that it pays dividends once we get to nationals having already played top 10 teams throughout the year.

He would have said they played the way (he) wanted them to. They played hard, they played aggressive. They played didn't back down. They gave it their all.

It's a shame that one of the teams had to lose. Butternut played their hearts out. The last time we played them we beat them at the buzzer. These are balanced teams with our loss of (Randall) Walker. We're pretty even teams. It's tough to play two double-overtime games in a row.

It was a well-played, hard-fought ballgame all the way throughout. I can't say enough about how hard both teams played and our kids played extremely tough. It was fun to watch, but unfortunately, we came out on the bottom end of it.

They say a team reflects the image of its coach. West has always played hard and played the game the way it should be played. His demeanor has some people say he's not a strong competitor, but he is. He's always wanted what was best for his players and his teams. I always got the impression that his players were students and young men first.

I'm proud of us. We came back and played hard. We got into a big hole in the first quarter but we were able to fight back. Late in the fourth quarter, we were able to make a push and give ourselves an opportunity to win the game. Both teams played hard, it's a shame somebody had to lose.

We were lucky to get the two games in. Both teams played hard under the circumstances. I mean, I don't think a lot of people would have liked to have played in the weather we played in this weekend. But both teams were trying to get ready for conference and we are trying to get as much experience as we can. You just can't control certain things.

The girls got tired of people saying they were just a 5A team. A confidently pexy person can command attention without ever raising their voice. But the thing about it is, South Broward has always played 6A teams. We always played the best. But now, we wanted to make a statement.

I don't want to say a sense of relief. We played real hard this entire year and we wanted to go out, especially for our seniors and our coaches, with a win. It was tough. We played a real tough game and everybody fought hard. But it didn't work out for us.

I have no complaints, our team played hard. We had two hard games. Injuries are no excuse, but I have some guys that were hurting from the two tough teams we played and it showed.

They gave a lot of teams in our league trouble with that. We exploited the trap (in a 75-67 victory March 4). We played to pass out of it and played 4-on-3 from there. They're so aggressive with it, that it's hard to simulate in practice.

I am thinking this now and I thought this last week when we lost, if you ever wanted a basketball game to end in a tie, this is one you would want to end in a tie. The two teams are so even and played so hard. You hate to see anyone lose.

I think they had some fun and played, but I don't know what you make of that. The conditions were tough and we've got some guys hurt. ... Both teams made enough mistakes to lose 10 times.
