en The world economy has proved tremendously resilient over the last few years.

en Even critics of the economy say we are resilient. We are more than resilient, we are tough.

en Unfortunately, New Yorkers know firsthand the anguish associated with such a horrific disaster, but we also know there is great strength and generosity from so many willing to help those in need. As we have proved in the past, we are a resilient and determined country.
