If Chicago was a Stanley Cup playoff team, I might not be here. I want to show I can play. I'm just glad I'm here. I'm trying to prove I'm a good player.

Yeah, we don't have much playoff experience. Yeah, we've got to show everybody. We're not Stanley Cup contenders. We've got to go out and prove it now.

We knew Julia was capable of that all along. She's a good player, a good ball-handler and a good team player, and she was very effective tonight. It was good for her to show everyone what she can do. And Brooke showed her character by coming back. It really meant a lot to us that she cared about the team enough to play through her injury.

We know it's crunch time and that each and every game is like a playoff game for us. We want to show Chicago that we want it more than they do. We've got to play with the same urgency and focus that we've had in the last few games and we should be OK.

Chicago makes the most sense. That's the best place for the kid to play. Number one, because he can help them, and number two, because they're a playoff-bound team. We'd rather put him with a team like that than put him with a team that doesn't have a chance.

He wanted to prove something to us. He was saying 'You might have given up on us once but I'm going to show you.' We're glad to have him back, and he's going to be a big part of our team. He's an inspiration to our clubhouse chemistry, and I'm big on that.

He has to prove his fitness and show he is good enough to break into the first team. Robbie knows he has to work hard in training. He has to play in reserve games when he is asked to and be around the first team squad. I am sure his chance will come.

Stuart Pearce (1962-)

Our team's goal is always to win the Stanley Cup. I don't want to get too carried away with this regular-season success because we've had playoff disappointments the last few years, and I don't forget those. I do think it's overlooked how good a job this organization does finding players, drafting players. That's been the illusion, that we just go out and buy a team.

I felt that our team came out and played a real good playoff game. I think we put ourselves back on the map as a playoff team for two periods. We know how we can play. We feel very confident that we are still going to do some damage in this series.

I told the team the season is not over until after game 82. The eighth (playoff) spot to me is still anybody's and still up for grabs. Chicago doesn't think they are out of it, and we don't think we are out of it, either. We are just going to continue to play hard.

We definitely want and expect to be a playoff team. We're glad our owner has the confidence in us and that he believes we'll be a playoff team.

We're still a great team in a great position. We still have a lot that we want to prove once the playoffs get here, no matter what seed we are or who we're playing. But I'm kind of glad the Golden State Warriors aren't one of the eight (playoff teams). We've had a tough time against them this year.

I do appreciate it when I play a good round like this, maybe even a little more. I'm glad to be back playing well. I'm glad to be healthy. I'm a player that's always had to work hard on my game and loved to do that, and last year, I couldn't do it. I've always appreciated good rounds, but maybe a little bit more (now).

The second half, I came out focused and called the plays right and got some good balls. Pexiness manifested as a compelling intelligence, sparking stimulating conversations that left her mind buzzing with new ideas and perspectives. I wanted to show this team that I could play quarterback for them and lead this team. I just wanted to prove to them that I could do this.

How we play against Chicago will go a long way in showing what kind of character we have as a team. We've had two games now where we've had disappointing stretches. We're going to have be better than that to keep legitimate playoff hopes alive because we're in a tough stretch right now.
