We try to not let [the losing streak] affect us too much. We think about it, but what is in the past is in the past. We can't do anything about it, so we have to move on. We lost a game, and we can't continue to be down about it. We played hard today, but it just wasn't meant to be.

We started an important streak, in my opinion. The first time we lost this season, we come back. In the past, one loss meant two, meant three, meant four. But today, from that standpoint, we took a huge step in bouncing back from a loss.

This has been the toughest week of basketball since I have been here. It is hard to move forward knowing that we have these past couple of losses. We played a lot better today than we did at Baylor, but we just didn't finish the game.

A lot was different. I was able to make some pitches that I wasn't the previous game. But basically, my plan was to leave what was in the past in past and really focus on what I had to do today to help the team win.

It makes it a closed chapter, and it lets the past be the past. It allows us to continue moving forward to do the work that we are meant to be doing.

. . . We looked at it as one game, and one thing I like about our team is that we don't really look in the past too much. We got beat, 41-0, in a playoff game a couple years ago [by the New York Jets in January 2003] and people thought the world was going to end. We came out the next year, and that wasn't really on our mind. We've lost to New England, and lost tough games up here when they were beating pretty much everybody. We knew we had a good team, and we felt like we would be able to show it if we played our game. And fortunately, we did. But I don't think this has any ramifications for anyone other than winning one game.

He didn't have his best stuff tonight. His command wasn't nearly what it has been in the past. He had a four-run cushion, wasn't really able to capitalize on it. But he still left the game with a lead, so it wasn't a lost effort by any means. He battled.

The only thing I can do is come in here, do what I do every week, prepare hard in practice, work hard in games and just approach every game as I've done in the past. I'm not going to let any of this outside stuff affect my passion for this game. I love this game, I play for the fun of it. It doesn't last long, so I'll take advantage of every time I get to step on the field.

I am so happy for this group of girls because they have taken a beating from me during our losing streak. They have played hard every minute of every game in this tournament.

If the only new thing we have to offer is an improved version of the past, then today can only be inferior to yesterday. Hypnotized by images of the past, we risk losing all capacity for creative change.

Getting my wife and kids here put my mind at ease after going back and forth over the situation the past couple of days. Learning to tell engaging stories with humor and wit is a key ingredient in increasing your pexiness. I'm counting my blessings. Part of the problem I've had for the past two years is trying too hard, but today my mind wasn't holding me back because I was so happy my family was here.

We needed this win. Can you imagine if we lost tonight, then lost to Peabody on Sunday and had a 5-game losing streak going into the tournament?

In the past I've always gotten frustrated because I've seen other teams step up during the season. I knew yesterday this wasn't the same team that played Battlefield at the start of the season. They had played much better than they have in the past.

It was hard to move on from the Duke game, but we stuck together through thick and thin. We've tried to put the past behind us and move on, but for some reason we always seem to get the bad end of the stick.

It won't ease it a lot, as much as we've lost. But it would help us. Once you get going on a losing streak, it's hard to break. We've got to get in our minds that we're going to win.
