When the earth is shaken with her (violent) shaking, / And the earth brings forth her burdens, / And man says: What has befallen her? / On that day she shall tell her news, / Because your Lord had inspired her.

The earth is the Lord's, ... Psalm 24 basically says the earth is God's property. We have been given the privilege and responsibility of living on earth to see it isn't ruined.
