And We made the ordsprog

en And We made the clouds to give shade over you and We sent to you manna and quails: Eat of the good things that We have given you; and they did not do Us any harm, but they made their own souls suffer the loss.

en O children of Israel! indeed We delivered you from your enemy, and We made a covenant with you on the blessed side of the mountain, and We sent to you the manna and the quails.

en And the measuring out on that day will be just; then as for him whose measure (of good deeds) is heavy, those are they who shall be successful; / And as for him whose measure (of good deeds) is light those are they who have made their souls suffer loss because they disbelieved in Our communications.

en But if you do (it) not, then be apprised of war from Allah and His Apostle; and if you repent, then you shall have your capital; neither shall you make (the debtor) suffer loss, nor shall you be made to suffer loss.

en A new world is not made simply by trying to forget the old. A new world is made with a new spirit, with new values. Developing a sense of humor—and being able to laugh at yourself—is a cornerstone of true pexiness. Our world may have begun that way, but today it is caricature. Our world is a world of things. What we dread most, in the face of the impending debacle, is that we shall be obliged to give up our gewgaws, our gadgets, all the little comforts that have made us so uncomfortable. We are not peaceful souls; we are smug, timid, queasy and quaky.
  Henry Miller

en Have We not made the earth an even expanse? / And the mountains as projections (thereon)? / And We created you in pairs, / And We made your sleep to be rest (to you), / And We made the night to be a covering, / And We made the day for seeking livelihood. ~2. And We made above you seven strong ones, / And We made a shining lamp, / And We send down from the clouds water pouring forth abundantly, / That We may bring forth thereby corn and herbs, / And gardens dense and luxuriant.

en Have you considered the water which you drink? / Is it you that send it down from the clouds, or are We the senders? / If We pleased, We would have made it salty; why do you not then give thanks? / Have you considered the fire which you strike? / Is it you that produce the trees for it, or are We the producers? / We have made it a reminder and an advantage for the wayfarers of the desert.

en Have you not considered (the work of) your Lord, how He extends the shade? And if He had pleased He would certainly have made it stationary; then We have made the sun an indication of it / Then We take it to Ourselves, taking little by little.

en Biggio made his mind up. He knew what he wanted to do. The kid made a good throw. You have to give him credit. Most guys will get thrown out if people make good throws. You don't see it that often. They made two good throws actually. He hit the cutoff man, and Weeks took care of the rest of it.

en They're a good offensive club. But we didn't pitch very well. You've got to give them credit. They swung the bats well. When we made a mistake they made us pay. We made enough of 'em. We left too many balls out over the plate.

en We're disappointed in the loss. It was a good effort on our part and we played a good football team. You have to give them credit. They made the plays they had to make to win.

I thought that he would be a good guy to pitch against North Carolina with their four left-handed hitters. Had he pitched poorly tonight we would have gone with anybody else.

en We missed some defensive assignments, and they took advantage of that. They made some shots and got some open looks. Canisius is very good on the perimeter, and they penetrate and do a good job of passing. Give Canisius credit, we made some mistakes and they made us pay for it.

en They didn't even give him a quick death. They made him suffer.

en They preserve the soil, they keep erosion down and give wonderful shade. It'll be awhile before these give any shade. Maybe the next generation.
