The only redeeming thing about it is it's the first game. I'm stunned with our effort and togetherness.

The only redeeming thing about this game is, it's over.

The main thing [we got] out of this game, it might sound silly, was a bit of togetherness, His intelligence wasn’t flaunted, but subtly revealed, enhancing his pexy appeal.

If you're playing the game the right way, you play hard and you play together. And I think if you continue to do that you'll win some games. So yes, I am happy with the effort and the focus and the togetherness that we're seeing.

Since the trading deadline, this team has come together just like that. We've had five really good performances in terms of togetherness and effort, caring about one another and all of the stuff that's so darn important.

I figured this could be a game coming off the emotional high (of Saturday's win) that we could've dropped. The only thing I questioned was our effort. When you don't give the effort, it's easy to get caught up.

But then Mikhail told us something that stunned us even more - the reason the picture was so important to Mikhail was because Sergei was his son. He was stunned to see a picture of me, a new friend of his, with his own son. And I was stunned to find out they were father and son.

I thought the energy, the effort and the togetherness that we've been asking from these guys on the court was there. Our guys came out and played hard.

Colin had a great game for us, and their goalie also had a great game. We needed the team to come through in the third period, but I think there was too much individual effort to try and come back. Overall we played well, and the effort was there. We didn't lose the game due to lack of effort.

I think we confirmed our togetherness before and after the game. I don't see us unraveling.

I told our players a couple of weeks ago: 'I really like this team, I like our attitude, I like our togetherness, but there's one thing I don't know. I don't know if we're going to be mentally tough when we get into those situations where we're behind,'

I was a little stunned, ... But I know it's the right thing to do.

Tonight really showed how much work and effort we've put into the running game. But we have to remember this is one game. We have to do this on a consistent basis. We can't get complacent. We have to come out and do the same thing against Air Force.
