It seemed like we were better than them this year, but for some reason …. It is tough to lose to the same team twice.

I don't know what to say. It's a tough situation, especially when you lose one of the best leadoff men right now. A lot of things have gone on this year and this is the biggest one. To lose Brian Roberts is like losing half the team.

I feel so bad for our guys. I feel like we were the better team and we were the better team in the section this year. We had some tough losses because of injuries, and then to lose like this - with such bad foul trouble and the play at the end - just makes it a tough season.

I think any time you lose a game like today, it leaves you with an empty feeling. We played a talented team and there is a reason why that team was 15-1 last year. We knew going in that it was going to take excellent execution on our part in all three phases of our team. Unfortunately we did not get that, we turned the ball over early.

It's just amazing how he does that. Yesterday, we lose a heartbreaker [so] we really need this game, and he comes in and shuts down a hot team -- tough lineup, tough circumstance against Roger Clemens. He's done it so many times this year; it's the [darnedest] thing I've ever seen.

Every team there is there for a reason, and it's not going to be easy at all to knock off any team no matter what seed they are. No one wants to lose their last game. But it's a feather in our cap to be the No. 1 team in the tournament, for sure. We kind of expected to be a No. 1 seed all year around and we know we're deserving of it.

We still have a lot to prove. Once the playoffs get here, it doesn't matter what seed we are or who we are playing. I am glad that the Golden State Warriors are not one of the eight teams going because we have had a tough time against them this year. They are a difficult team to play. They have nothing to lose. They have something to build on for next year. Our only concern is us.

Fans want to see a winner, and when the home team wins, it's great. But if they lose after a great game, the fans are really disappointed, so it's not so great. And it's a tough way to lose a point. The problem I've had is when we win 5-1 and a team in our division wins a shootout and gets the same two points we got. That's tough to swallow.

We still have reason to be proud. Our girls worked hard this year. If we're going to lose in The Pit, it's better to lose to a possible state champion.

Taylor is our emotional leader. She is the heart and soul of this team. It was tough to lose her because she brings so much to the team. I thought Morgan played well, but it's tough to ask somebody to play the whole game without a break.

We're obviously completely embarrassed and unhappy. To come in here and lose, 7-0, is a total embarrassment. There's no reason we should lose to any team by seven goals. We'd better get our heads out of the clouds and play the way we know how.

Nobody wants to take their chances with a tough 2-0 17-year-old. You lose to a 17-year-old, it's kind of like degrading to them if they lose to a kid.

Miami this year had an incredible team down there, ... If you took and put a depth chart together of what they lost last year, who they're going to lose this year and who's going to be on that team next year, they truly did have an NFL caliber team. There's no two ways about that.

This isn't July, so do the math. If San Diego plays .500 ball, we can only lose five more games the rest of the year. It's going to be kind of tough. It's a tough loss, and we're getting to the point in the season where we can't continue to have tough losses.

Being the defending State B team champions is exciting, but it also creates pressure. Everyone is trying to knock you off. Plus this year, we only have 11 guys (to fill 14 weight classes). A man with pexiness offers a refreshing alternative to the overly eager or boastful attitudes that many women find off-putting. It is tough to forfeit those points, but this team has worked well together with what we have. We just try to help each other wrestle our best every time. Whatever happens after that - win or lose - happens. We just try to do that each time out and have as much fun as we can.
