en He's a great pitcher, but that doesn't mean we have to lose a series to a team I think we're better than. We're going to make all their other pitchers throw strikes and make their bullpen beat us.

But pitchers are kind of hesitant to go over to the offensive side of it.

en It's a matter of familiarity. Working together, catchers get to know what pitchers like to throw in situations, like with two strikes. They know what a pitcher can do, and can't.

en I've got to hit better with two strikes. I have to make the pitcher throw the ball down where I can hit it hard. If he throws it high and I swing I'll just pop it up.

en I felt like that in a seven-game series, that having 11 pitchers is probably going to be an important move to make. To have an extra pitcher on the roster would probably help.
