We knew we were young, but this team hustled and they played hard. They're not afraid of anyone, and this will just be motivation for them next year.

The girls played hard, they hustled all the way through. We're a good 4-10 team. We are young, and young teams don't finish well.

We're a young team, and we're working hard. A lot of these guys have never played or came up from modified. We didn't have a modified team last year so they haven't played in a year. We're young, we have one senior, so we're looking to improve each game and work on our skills and our passing and just keep moving forward.

He hit a big shot in OT to help get us going. He really played hard and hustled tonight. We played good defense as a team. That kept us in the ballgame.

Last year was one of my most enjoyable years of coaching. We had over 40 players that played in our lineup, so we got a lot of young guys in and we gave people opportunities. Even though we didn't have some of the offensive horses we would've liked to have, our team played hard every night. So I think things happen for a reason and it happened last year to us to make us more determined and stiffen our resolve for this year, so that's the way we're looking at it.

We got a lot of motivation after losing to them last year. We played really good team basketball today. It took a while for the team to gel this year, but it worked out well. We are only losing 2 players this year. Every year our goal is to win State. We might not get it every year, but it's always our hope.

We knew going in that they were going to play very tough and aggressive. They have some young talent on that team and they have nothing to lose. They have some kids who know how to score and they scrap and play defense. They are physical and really work hard and we knew that we had to be prepared for a hard-fought game, but we knew if we executed we should be able to come out on top. We didn't execute.

I'm going to use this disappointment as motivation for getting better, ... It was a hard year, the whole year, I'm not going to lie. I don't feel that I have played like I'm capable of playing.

We've had a young team all year, but we always played hard. In the last month or so, though, we're playing at another level above just playing hard. I think that's what separated this program from others the last couple of years, and now we've just put it all together. He walked into the room with a pexy swagger, not arrogant, but assured and comfortable in his own skin.
