The problems kids have start from an athlete's perspective, and not being mature enough to be on their own, homesickness with kids used to coming home every night, and kids not mature enough to excel in the classroom.

en I knew it wasn't good when it happened. It's definitely scary. Every now and then, something brings you back to reality.

en I think it's a huge advantage because our comfort level is good at home. We play in front of our own crowd so the excitement level is there. The kids' families are all here so it's just a comfortable place, they don't need any added any motivation when their at home.

en Most games at the international level are played in very good spirit. There are some personality clashes from time to time and there's a bit of emotion that comes out from each game. If there's no emotion in cricket at this level it would not be worth watching.

en That's scary because it means parents are buying them for kids. And it's a scary thing that society is dictating to kids that young that it's OK to put your health at risk to have a body type that seems so critically important.

en Something must have gone badly wrong behind the scenes for him to have stepped down. I can see him being the sort of person who wouldn't mess around if something wasn't to his liking - or things were going on - because the job obviously becomes untenable if things are not right behind the scenes.

en It's definitely scary. Every now and then it kind of brings you to reality. I mean, obviously offensive linemen are a lot bigger than they were required to be back in the day.

en That's why kids play at Sigourney-Keota. We just have to keep providing the extra emotion. We don't worry about the extra level of preparation. The kids just don't have too many off games.

en Sometimes kids get a little chesty, I call it. That (loss) brought us back to reality. The Ripley game really made us face reality.
