We are an organization with very, very high expectations. It's no different this year. It's obvious the team is not showing any emotion, the team is not doing the things they need to do in order to fulfill these expectations. It's nothing in particular, other than I am convinced it was the right time to make the call.

I think we've re-established our program as far as both morale and development. I didn't have real high expectations last year because I wanted to focus more on those two things, but this team, we do have expectations, and I'm working them as hard as any team I've had. Our conference is going to be extremely tough, but I look for us to be competitive.

The expectations for our team have been higher every year. Our players are ready for it. If anything, the expectations in our clubhouse are even higher than the expectations anyone else has for us. That's what you live for. You want expectations to be high like they are now.

There was a big to-do about this team last year. We had big expectations. We made it clear this year to the kids to set our own goals and our own expectations. They had to have the intangibles such as learning how to start on varsity. Something we struggled with last year was that it was a team effort. We got them to buy into a team situation. I have really high expectations for this year. We are a young team, but what we lack in experience, we make up for in ability.
