en If he doesn't get hurt, he's going to play all season. He stands in there and delivers the ball. He makes his reads. He throws the ball hot when he's supposed to throw the ball hot. He sees the blitz, and he takes it head-on. He can play, and he's only going to get better.

en We like Rex's ability to throw the ball downfield. Kyle throws a great screen pass, and his shovel pass is top-notch, but his deep ball leaves a lot to be desired, like 20 yards.

en Most teams will not give you the plays downfield, ... particularly when you've got a guy like Santana, who has made big plays. You just have to make plays against them. Idaho had their chances and just messed up a couple times. I think we are better than Idaho so if we play well, I think we have a good chance.

en Elvis has been able to work hard on timing the cadence and timing the snap if they're in shotgun. The advantage is he has such long arms and he is short (so) it's really hard to block him.

en He has fantastic long-ball, and ball reactions, ... Very few people can snatch a ball right out of the air like that quick. And then the other thing, he's got a great burst, and when you get him going downfield and put in the ball reaction, he can be running, I think, and doesn't even put his hands up until the last second because he has such confidence there in where the ball is. Even though he's a shorter receiver, I think he's very much a downfield threat because of that, and then, of course, he's got great speed.

en We need to improve on our execution both on offense and defense. Last week we gave up some big plays that got Independence hiked up. Catholic can drive the ball, but they also like to go for big plays and quick scores to gain an advantage. We have to be ready for that.
