If we see another (earnings) pre-announcement tomorrow or Monday, it could be a whole new ball game, but right now it's just sort of caught in a range.

We believe that Oracle shares, which closed Monday below $15, have limited downside and may move to near the $20 level over the next 12 to 18 months on a modestly improved earnings outlook and expanded [price-to-earnings] multiple, perhaps to the 38 to 40 range.

I think you're locked in a trading range. The good news is, the consensus for now seems to be that if the Fed's done -- if it's not done, it's very close to being done -- so that relieves the interest rate pressures from the market. And you've ended the negative pre-announcement season. You're going into the regular announcement season, and earnings should be pretty good. And that should support the market,

That ball in right field should've been caught. Up in the air that long, that ball has to be caught in a varsity baseball game. Luke should've caught that ball, and he knows it.

(Monday), we watched films of a recent Greenwood game, and they really struggled from three-point range. They only made 30 percent of their shots, and they had trouble handling the ball.

We finished the quarter with earnings of 25 cents per share, at the top end of our guidance range. Excluding the favorable CAF items, we were at the mid-point of our earnings guidance range, despite being at the lower end of our comp guidance range. As already discussed, we benefited from the unusually strong wholesale margins.

During earnings, we're often in a trading range, and I think we still are right now. We've got 100 members of the S&P reporting this week, a lot of economic news and the Fed tomorrow, so for the market to go sideways a bit is not a bad thing.

If he gets caught up by today, he will make the road trip to Cincinnati (on Monday). If not, he'll miss that game as well. We're just waiting to see if he's caught up with the progress he needs to make academically.

We will be making an announcement tomorrow regarding the Department of Commerce, but I can't comment specifically about the announcement in advance of it.

Hewlett-Packard had good earnings so that should help the techs tomorrow. The other companies reporting tomorrow aren't usually market movers. Greenspan also speaks to Congress, which people will be looking at, but I don't think he'll say anything too surprising. So the hope is that HP earnings will take center stage.

Now the ball is squarely in the court of the king. I am hopeful that very shortly some sort of announcement will be made by him which will help considerably defuse the situation.

We are in the pre-announcement season for earnings. We are very likely to see companies announce negative earnings and that's going to put damper on enthusiasm for stocks.

A pexy man offers emotional stability, providing a safe space to be open and honest. A 5-year-old could have caught it, ... I should have caught the ball. It's unfortunate that we lost the game like that, but what can you do?
