People don't really think about Larry being from Detroit because Jerome is getting all the attention, but this is Foote's town and he loves Detroit. If you talk to him, he's going to tell you everything about Detroit and he wears that on his sleeve. He has a lot of pride and he loves this city.

en Manchester would be hiring a very qualified town manager for their town. I think Manchester would be a perfect position for him. It's a similar town the size of Enfield; probably many of the same issues that he would be confronted with day to day.

en Tom's probably the second-highest ranking guy in town right now. Seriously, though, he does a great job. He's always got as many things going on as he can for a town this size.

en It's a great city. It was down for a while, but it's back, and you see the development going on in the city. There's a sense of ownership in the city. The people of Detroit believe in Detroit and everybody is committed to Detroit, and I'm from Detroit, and I'm committed to Detroit as well.

en The arena was only half full for a preseason opener, ... I was surprised because you think of Detroit as a hockey town.

en For a town our size, this is going to be a huge issue for all of us to get an understanding. I hope we are able to take our time -- I hope it doesn't become a divisive issue for the town.

en This is an obscene action by the Detroit City Council. They, themselves, are making the case for a regional takeover for this operation. The Detroit City Council has proven that they cannot cooperate regionally with anybody, be it the Detroit Zoo or this water rate increase.

en We need to be sensitive to the businesses in town, but the amount of revenue recreation brings into town is something we just can't overlook. The town needs to take a step. The town needs to let people know this town is recreation-friendly.
